Compliance Officer Contract Administrator

**Company Overview**
**Summary**
We are looking for a **Compliance Officer | Contract Administrator** to support our Business Development and Project teams in achieving strategic growth objectives. Acting as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, the incumbent will oversee the full contract lifecycle — from bid review to contract closure — across Canadian and U.S. operations.
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the incumbent ensures compliance with all regulatory, licensing, insurance, and bonding requirements critical to business continuity. As an internal resource, the Compliance Officer may also support litigation management and related legal matters.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Contract Administration**
- Review bid and tender documents to extract key terms and provide actionable insights to the proposal team.
- Coordinate contract finalization and execution for awarded projects in conjunction with the project team.
- Support project teams with contract interpretation, change orders, and compliance tracking.
- Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to verify prevailing wage requirements prior to bid submissions.
- Coordinate and manage subcontracts with subcontractors in conjunction with the project team.
**Licensing & Regulatory Compliance**
- Manage business registrations, ensuring timely renewals and accurate documentation.
- Maintain compliance following structural or governance changes (e.g., officer updates).
- Research and establish new jurisdictional requirements as business expands.
**Insurance & Bonding**
- Act as primary contact with insurance and bonding providers on overall management of provided facilities.
- Coordinate annual policy renewals and secure coverage certificates as required.
- Arrange bid and performance bonds in collaboration with internal teams and brokers.
**Other Responsibilities**
- Maintain current accurate sets of Director’s Resolutions as officer roles evolve (as provided by corp legal team).
- Support CBSA CARM portal registration and maintenance (facilitation for border crossings into/from USA).
- Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator on cross-border compliance issues.
**Requirements**:
- 7-10 years of experience in contract administration, legal assistance, or related fields.
- Post-secondary education in administration, law, or business (an asset).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Commissioner of Oaths designation is considered an asset.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary (infrequently).

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
