Specialist, Energy Transition

**What You Will Do**:
As a **Specialist, Energy Transition**, you will play an essential role within our Business Development group, reporting to the** Director, Energy Transition**. In this role you will develop and lead several innovative energy transition projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing Nova Scotia’s first project to produce green hydrogen project for domestic use to help decarbonize the local heavy transportation and building sectors,
- Developing and introducing natural gas heat pumps and hybrid heating systems to Nova Scotia building owners, and
- Identifying, evaluating, and developing other low-carbon energy solutions to help achieve Nova Scotia’s emission reduction targets.

Required qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Possesses substantial technical expertise to contribute effectively from the start and demonstrates the ability to work independently while ensuring optimal outcomes.
- You enjoy solving technical problems and leading complex projects. You’re an innovative thinker and skilled communicator who can build support for new ideas.
- You have a keen interest in the energy transition and developing practical, sustainable energy solutions that will support Nova Scotia’s transition to net-zero emissions.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Technical sales experience
- Experience in the energy, HVAC, building development industry or other technical field.
