**Accounts Receivable Clerk / Office Assistant**

We are a distributor of tire repair equipment & supplies in Burnaby, BC. The full-time position of Accounts Receivable Clerk / Office Assistant is now available.

We are open 5 days a week: Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00. Usual starting salary is $22 per hour, based on knowledge and experience. Salary is negotiable and is appropriate to experience/productivity and effort demonstrated in first 3 months of employment.

Background in automotive industry is not required, as we will train. All that is needed is good health, intelligence, an upbeat attitude, and a willingness to learn. You must be punctual, emotionally mature, extremely articulate, and outgoing.

We seek a flexible “people person” who is happiest and productive when very busy, and one who is willing to help out in other areas when needed.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Customer account inquiries
- Daily cheque & cash deposits
- On-line credit card processing & settling batches for deposit
- Posting of deposits to accounting program
- Maintaining invoicing paperwork
- Month end statement processing
- Reception duties such as answering phone calls
- Opening & distribution of mail
- Relaying customer/sales rep communications
- Filing
- Data entry & assistance with record keeping

**Skills required**:

- Master of multi-tasking and an ability to be a team player
- Excellent math skills - manual and electronic.
- Knowledge of Sage ERP300 and Excel a big plus.
- Excellent computer and written skills
- Extremely well organized and detail oriented, with excellent time management skills
- Takes direction well, but can also work independently
- Asks questions to clarify, embraces change
- Takes responsibility for mistakes/misunderstandings quickly, so we can immediately resolve issues
- Compassionate & kind manner with customers & co-workers, yet assertive and able to maintain firm professional boundaries

Benefits package is available after 4 months of employment. We split the premiums 50/50.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
