**Construction Estimator**

We are looking for a competent Estimator with experience in the residential and commercial construction industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare estimates of budget costs of materials, labour and equipment for residential construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications
- Provide estimating support to sales as well as and construction departments
- Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
- Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of all projects
- Estimate all project materials as well as labour and prepare for costing
- Convert client material selections to Request for Proposal documents and client Change Orders
- Maintain software pricing and manage cost assemblies
- Conform to schedules and deadlines
- Above all keep clients happy

**Qualifications**:

- A graduate in Architectural Technology or Estimating
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
- Minimum 5 years (preferred) of estimating experience in residential construction including renovations and new homes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with Suppliers, Other Trade Partners and Clients
- First-rate organizational skills, able to multi-task and prioritize work while working independently
- Meticulous attention to detail with ability to focus on work, with the ability to be very precise and careful in your work
- Must be self-motivated
- Thoroughly understands residential construction pricing for every area of the home
- Incredible Client service
