**Job Summary**
As Estimator/Project Manager, you will be responsible for calculating major construction cost estimates and be involved in the project planning, development, negotiation, and execution of large complex construction projects focused on sewer and watermain installation and connections to ensure an end-to-end site preparation for client developers.
The ideal person in this role will have significant experience in sewer and watermain projects, command of AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other estimating software including proficiency with Sage 100 Contractor and/or other ERP systems.
**Responsibilities**
- Review plans, specifications, and tender/contract documents
- Consult with clients /owners to confirm and clarify site servicing and other requirements, project scope, plans, specifications, and tender/contract documents and deliverables
- Gather site data and prepare accurate bid item/activity costs for lump sum and unit rate contracts
- Build network and directory to solicit and procure supplier and subcontractor
- Maintain and ensure updated cost keys and price masters information
- Prepare presentation materials and submit tender packages, proposals, and quotation letters
- For awarded projects, provide management and field employees with summaries, material lists, job information packages, and feedback on scope, specifications, and timing.
- Develop plans, create a project budget, coordinate resources, mitigate risks, and deliver to timelines
- Foster excellent working relationships with subcontractors, construction personnel, supervisors, project managers, and staff, focusing on customer satisfaction, quality, and safety.
- Maintain corporate processes and standards, instruct workers as needed, and ensure all federal and provincial regulations are followed.

**Qualifications**
- **Education, training, and experience**:_
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology Construction Project Management and/or relevant program
- 5+ years’ experience estimating large-scale construction sewer and watermain projects, in GTA
- 3+ years of project management experience liaising with stakeholders, managing project budgets, and coordinating resources
- Experience in Contractor’s Health & Safety requirements, administration, and record-keeping procedures
- Valid Driver’s License, class ‘G’ with a good driving record and willingness to drive personal vehicle (mileage compensated) or company vehicle as required.
- **Technical skills and proficiency**:_
- Project management and estimating software including: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Excel, MS Office Applications, MS Project, and Estimating Software
- Scheduling and capable of producing complex and integrated tender schedules
- Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) and Outlook
- SAGE 100 and/or other project management and estimating software and tools
- IBM Blueworks and/or other process mapping and data management software is an asset
- **Sound knowledge of**:_
- Commercial and/or residential sewer and watermain installations involving excavation, earthworks, site grading and servicing plans
- Feasibility and environmental studies, and engineering design through field experience
- Project Estimating principles and practices specific to planning, execution, pricing, and management of vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Project Management principles and ability to deliver construction projects of various size and scope to completion within timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction
- Various contract arrangements (e.g., lump sum, unit price, cost), and document packages (CCDC)
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations
