**Job Description**:
The Seabee Gold Operation is an underground gold mining and milling operation, located near Laonil Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, approximately 125 kilometers northeast of the town of La Ronge. The Santoy underground mine has been in continuous commercial production since 2014. Commercial production at the Seabee underground mine commenced in 1991 and exhausted Mineral Resources in 2018. All ore is processed at the Seabee mill facility, which has been in operation since 1991.
This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert & La Ronge.
The Supervisor, Kitchen Operations is responsible for the efficient day to day management of all aspects of the kitchen operation. The Supervisor will mentor, coach, develop and lead Kitchen staff. Implicit in this position is adherence to and focus on Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment as they relate to all of our operations. Duties will include oversight of recruitment, customer service, resident satisfaction, budgeting, financial management, strategic implementation, and ongoing success of kitchen. The Supervisor works at the SGO mine site on a 2 weeks in/2 weeks out rotation and must be prepared to work some evenings.
- Leadership of seven (7) employees who deliver the day-to-day activities involved in the operation of the kitchen.
- Manage the reciprocal relationship between staff and SSR Mining so that each is successful.
- Plan and deliver clear daily crew workloads, setting clear daily targets.
- Monitor performance on an ongoing basis and give regular feedback to personnel.
- Identify personnel development needs.
- Implements training programs for new employees
- Supervise menu creation.
- Maintain inventory and usage control systems.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure budget limits are not exceeded.
- Ensure asset maintenance and support is provided for the kitchen equipment.
- Implements the planning and assignment of work (workloads) for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment.
- Review progress with superintendent daily.
- Keep informed of new developments in cooking methods and equipment to enhance or improve existing site procedures.
- Stringent HACCP controls of all kitchen processes and procedures
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
- People leader with 7-10 years progressive experience in Camp Kitchen Management with minimum 5 years’ leadership experience.
- Demonstrate superior organizational, leadership, communication, time management, and team-building skills.
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid Food Safe Advanced Level Certificate is essential.
- WHMIS Certificate is preferred.- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within budget guidelines and meet required deadlines.
- Outstanding problem solving, written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a well-organized self-starter with experience in motivating, mentoring, and developing employees.- Superior attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service.
