Come be part of our innovative and passionate team at **Monte Cristo Bakery** We are actively looking for **an AP/AR Clerk.**

Reporting to the Controller, the AR/AP Clerk will assist with account maintenance, invoice verifications and processing, collection, reconciliation, preparation on monthly financial statements and year end working papers for Monte Cristo Bakery. For individuals with great attention to detail and an overall positive attitude, the AP/AR role offers excellent visibility with stakeholders and in turn, career growth. This role will work out of facility in Delta, BC.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Ensure purchase orders, receiving and invoices are matched.
- Verify items billed against items ordered, items received and reconcile any discrepancies through follow-up with the vendor and/or other employees.
- Process timely payments and documents such as invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements, and statements in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Help manage the accounts payable and remittance process
- Review cheque batches to ensure all payments have been applied correctly
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues for invoice posting and payment processing
- Prepare A/R bills, invoices and bank deposits
- Remind clients to help facilitate payments for outstanding A/R payments
- Prepares and reviews A/P invoices
- Administer credit card program and shipping items to users

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- A degree or diploma in Accounting
- Currently enrolled or interested in enrolling in a CPA accounting designation is preferred
- Must have Intermediate to Advanced Excel proficiency
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Quick comprehension, demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to work with all levels of corporate management

**Monte Cristo Bakery** opened its doors in 1989 in a small shop on West Broadway. Our family owned and operated business grew from a 2,000 square foot facility to a 70, 000 square foot facility, which is now located in Delta, B.C.
