This position may be eligible for incentives based on meeting fundraising goals. These targets will be established by the COP and Board of Directors. **OBJECTIVE**: Reporting to the Chief of Operations & Productions, the Corporate Relations Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and executing a fundraising strategy that will meet the short and long term needs of Odd Squad Productions. **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**: Oversee strategy development and implementation: - Plan, implement and oversee a multi-faceted fundraising program - Achieve annual revenue goals, which includes major gifts, annual giving, and sponsorship - Develop fundraising initiatives - Present fundraising cases to the Operations Director (for Board Presentations) - Prepare prospect lists and develop appropriate campaigns - Keep abreast of fundraising trends - Maintain extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies and principles - Assess impact of external events on teams across the organization - Develop and maintain tools and donor database systems so fundraising information is kept current and up to date. Direct fundraising and donor management: - Manage a portfolio of donors - Build relationships with key stakeholders - Secure philanthropic commitments and honour their commitment to the organization, with an emphasis on securing 5 - to 7-figure gifts - Prepare stakeholders for a possible ask (assess areas of interest and when to ask) - Update stakeholders on a funded project or the organization - Collaborate with volunteers, staff leadership and colleagues - Partner with senior leaders to engage potential and current donors - Build relationships across organization - Develop fundraising strategies appropriate for key priorities in the organization - Maintain and ensure privacy donor information and how it is stored within organization (mailing lists, privacy, and finance) as it impacts decisions in the development process - Write and submit grant and funding proposals (and monitor and track progress). External relationship management: - Build relationships with key stakeholders - Collaborate with our funder relationships - Manage our spending and ensure that they coincide with funder expectations. Project/program management: - Oversee all fundraising projects and campaigns - Understand the scope of the projects, overall cost, high level activities, desired outcomes and crafting the story to support the projects - Reach out to existing and prospecting funding - Secure meetings with potential funders - Write grant and funding proposals - Ensure funds are spent as promoted - Ensure funders get updates on projects - Generate financial reports to update key stakeholders on project progress, revenues, future revenue, and dollars raised to date. Performs other duties as required. **SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE** - 5+ years’ experience in progressively responsible development positions - 3+ years in a leadership role - Developed network with fundraising community - Demonstrated results with campaign management, annual/individual giving, planned giving, sponsorship - Proven experience in campaign management, annual/individual giving, planned giving and sponsorship - Track record in cultivating and securing 3 to 6-figure gifts - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Demonstrated leadership with strategic planning - Budget management for complex organizations - Experience working with senior level volunteers and community leaders - Ability to multitask and strong time management skills **Salary**: $68,750.00-$73,500.00 per year Ability to commute/relocate: - Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Education**: - Bachelor's Degree (required) **Experience**: - public relations: 1 year (required) Work Location: One location
