Public Relations Officer

Neapolitan Pizza Ltd is a market leading pizza franchising corporate office that owns multiple pizza brands across the Lower Mainland: _Pizza Garden, La Ruota, Megabite Pizza, and City Square Pizza_. We pride ourselves innovative techniques to enhance the exquisite taste of Neapolitan-Style Pizzas which made us a prominent player in the pizza industry.

We are looking for a Public Relations Officer to join our team as we continue to expand in the pizza industry and grow strong with our Franchisees.

**Job Summary**:
The Director of Public Relations will be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of all aspects of the company’s public relations activities. This position is responsible for managing the company’s reputation and image, including but not limited to:
**Media Relations**:

- Established relationships with local and national media.
- Ability to pitch stories and manage media inquiries effectively.

**Digital PR and Social Media Savvy**:

- Familiarity with digital PR campaigns and online reputation management.
- Ability to leverage social media platforms for PR objectives and interact with customers online.

**Event Management**:

- Experience in organizing, promoting, and executing events, be it store openings, promotional events, or community engagement activities.

**Strategic Thinking**:

- Ability to develop and implement PR strategies aligned with the brand's goals and objectives.
- Capacity to anticipate potential PR challenges and opportunities.

**Crisis Management**:

- Skill in handling potential PR crises swiftly and effectively to minimize damage to the brand's reputation.

- **Key Qualifications for this role**:
**Relevant Educational Background**:Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

**Experience**:3 years of prior PR experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry. _Experience with crisis communication is a plus, given the potential for food safety or customer service issues that might arise._

**Strong Communication Skills**:Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to craft compelling press releases, speeches, and promotional material.

**Team Player**:Ability to collaborate with marketing, operations, and other departments.

**Knowledge of the Food Industry**:Understanding of food industry trends, challenges, and regulations can be beneficial.

**Analytical Skills**:Ability to measure and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns using tools and metrics.

**Interpersonal Skills**:Strong relationship-building abilities to forge partnerships, engage with community leaders, and interact with franchisees.

**Cultural Fit**: Aligns with the values, mission, and culture of the pizza franchise.

**Creativity**:Comes up with fresh and innovative ideas for campaigns, events, and brand-building activities.

**Proactive Nature**:Takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and acts on them without always waiting for direction.
