Job Title: Events & Community Development Manager
Location: Edmonton
About Alberta Dreams: Alberta Dreams is a not-for-profit organization that fulfills dreams for children in Alberta facing severe, chronic or life-threatening medical conditions. Our mission is to bring joy and unforgettable experiences to these brave children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Management:
- Plan, organize, and execute Alberta Dreams fundraising events
- Coordinate logistics, secure venues, and manage event budgets to ensure profitable and successful outcomes.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events and maximize attendance and sponsorship.
2. Fundraising & Sponsorship:
- Support fundraising targets by identifying, cultivating, and securing sponsorships and donations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and donors.
- Create and manage fundraising campaigns, including third-party initiatives and corporate events.
3. Volunteer Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for events and community engagement activities.
- Ensure a positive and rewarding experience for volunteers, fostering long-term commitment and support.
4. Community Engagement:
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to increase awareness and brand recognition of Alberta Dreams.
- Organize and participate in community outreach activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-years of experience in event management, fundraising, marketing or fund development
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Fundraising, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or a related field considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of children and their families.
Compensation: This is a performance-based role with competitive compensation, including base salary and performance incentives based on the achievement of fundraising and event success metrics.

Pay: $60,736.67-$77,824.64 per year

**Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
