**Your Opportunity**:
**Your Key Accountabilities**:

- Actively supports community engagement while promoting equitable and diverse innovation communities and contributes to Edmonton Unlimited’s ongoing pursuit of Reconciliation and inclusive innovation.
- In alignment with leadership, this role leads the strategy and execution of Edmonton Unlimited owned, partnered, and sponsored events and activation.
- Provides options and troubleshoots solutions that enhance an event’s success, collaborating with team and requesting feedback.
- Provides direction and negotiation support for community-led events by working with members of our cross-functional management team in Marketing & Community Relations, Programs & Business Development, and Finance & Administration.
- Leads a small team that collectively operates as the face of Edmonton Unlimited at external/sponsored events and with community partners and stakeholders who choose Edmonton Unlimited as the home for their community events, in alignment with Edmonton Unlimited’s mandate and values.
- Develops event programming, including logistics and speakers for events.
- Oversees relationships with external stakeholders, including venues, event management companies, promotional products suppliers, etc. to plan, execute and activate Edmonton Unlimited sponsored or owned events.
- Oversees and provides pre-event and post-event support to ensuring completion of due diligence and logistics to result in a smoothly run event.
- Establishes and maintains a budget for Edmonton Unlimited events, in alignment with the Vice President, Marketing & Community Relations and the overall marketing budget.
- Oversees the strategy, process, and facilitation of the in-bound “Get Started” program and support available to innovators and entrepreneurs.
- Accommodates working outside regular hours and opportunities for travel, where required.

**Your Credentials**:

- 7+ years of experience in a managerial role, providing knowledge of applicable KPI’s and marketing techniques for event management.
- Demonstrated effective event management experience.
- Post-secondary education in public relations, communications, or hospitality considered an asset.
- Excels in a startup environment with flat organizational structure and strong team collaboration.
- Outstanding communicator and team leader with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as required.
- Ability to maintain a high-level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Innovator by nature.
