As part of the international DMT Group, we specialize in near-surface geophysical surveys, offering solutions for mining, permafrost studies, hydrogeology, infrastructure development, and geotechnical risk assessment. Our projects span diverse environments, from the Canadian Arctic to international locations, utilizing a broad array of geophysical methods to deliver comprehensive subsurface insights.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geophysics Summer Student to join our dynamic team for the summer term. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in field-based geophysical surveys, contributing to real-world projects that address critical challenges in various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of geophysical survey equipment, including seismic, electromagnetic, and resistivity instruments.
- Participate in data acquisition, processing, and preliminary interpretation under the guidance of experienced geophysicists.
- Engage in fieldwork across diverse terrains and climates, adhering to safety protocols and project timelines.
- Contribute to the preparation of field reports and documentation of survey activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong interest in field-based geophysical work and a willingness to travel extensively.
- Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to varying environmental conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
