**Job Description**:
**Electrical Project Coordinator - Heavy Civil**

As an Electrical Project Coordinator in our Electrical division, you will have the opportunity to support our Project Managers in the delivery of projects. The focus of your role will be to maintain contract documentation, support and assist with the preparation of budgets and schedules. We work on a variety of types of contracts such as Design Build, Plan and Spec and Construction Management and you would gain experience on all of these.

The career plan for the Electrical Coordinator is to become an Electrical Project Manager where you are overseeing your own projects and the pace this happens will be up to you.

The purpose of the Electrical Coordinator in supporting the Electrical Project Manager is to ensure that profit is made on the project, that the work is performed as per the contract documents, that the project is completed with outstanding quality, and that the jobsite is a safe workplace. In doing so, you will be involved in:

Assisting in setting up project administration files**:

- ** Preparation of technical documents, calculation notes and specifications**:

- ** Assist in procurement of material, equipment, subcontracts.**:

- ** Selecting suppliers and sub-trades and obtaining quotations**:

- ** Preparation in the commissioning document for equipment supplied through our contract.**:

- ** Assisting with correspondence to Owner, Architect, Engineers, sub-trades and suppliers in cooperation with the Project Manager and Foreman**:

- ** Attending meetings (In person or Teams) and assisting in the completion of project deficiencies**:

- ** Participate in project handover meeting with Estimators.**:

- **On association assist with closing tenders in consultation with senior managers and our electrical sub-contractor partners and suppliers**:

- ** Assist in the preparation and development of Change Orders.**

At Maple we are looking for individuals who have the skills and desire to take on the role of Electrical Project Coordinator, but have the drive to become an Electrical Project Manager. To be considered for this role you will have:

Minimum 3-5 years or more experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Project Coordinator in the construction industry**:

- ** Education in Electrical or Instrumentation or completion of a Control Engineering Technologist program or a combination of education and industry experience**:

- ** Ability to read and understand electrical drawings (schematic, wiring and layout)**:

- ** Valid drivers licence**

Yearly Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 (depending on expereince)
