**Overview**
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Social Media & Content Manager will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to enhance our online presence, engage with our community, and build brand awareness. You will work closely with our Operations and Marketing team to create engaging content and drive measurable results across all social platforms. You will take the lead in crafting and delivering compelling visual stories that resonate with our community. You’re a pro in the social and digital sphere, a confident storyteller, and you’re passionate about the dance community.
We’ll be looking to you, to know the latest trends, best practices and industry developments to keep our online presence engaging and exciting. You’ll be consistently in the studios capturing creative b-roll and stills to best highlight the Studio North Experience You’ll be designing and posting promotional material, with engaging captions and scripts in line with our brand, that directly impact studio visits and an engaging online community.
**What a Typical Day Looks Like**
- Planning monthly content calendar for our channels
- Update and design weekly assets
- Manage and schedule daily and weekly posts
- Film and edit long and short video content for all channels
- Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions
- Foster conversations and engage with relevant accounts
- Communicate performance metrics
- Collaborate with our social team in Toronto
**What We’re Looking For**
- 2-3 years in similar social media management role
- Strong alignment with Studio North’s core values
- Current with social media trends
- Proven photo and video editing experience
- Competent in recording, editing, and uploading social media videos (specs & best practices)
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut and/or experience with other creative platforms like Canva
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet hard deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and strong eye for design & aesthetics
- Knowledge and interest in the dance community
**What You Need To Know**
- Employment Type: Salary
- Full-time at 40 hours per week
- Based in Vancouver, BC
- Requires travel to Burnaby (201-7426 Hedley Ave, Burnaby, BC V5E 2P9) and Mount Pleasant ( 201 W 7th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1L9) locations
