WCO is looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, friendly, personable & enjoys interacting with clients and staff, patient and pragmatic approach who can think outside the box, technology-savvy or eager to learn, with the ability to maintain tact and confidentiality. Flexible in terms of working hours (overtime is scheduled during personal tax season through March and April each year) and taking on ad hoc tasks outside of scope. Accounting background is not necessary as training will be provided, however eager to learn and good at following procedure/direction is important. Enjoys and able to multi-task at high speeds if required. Required competency of MS Office®. Preferred competency of any of the following software: CCHiFirm®, Doc-it®, Taxprep® and CaseWare®

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Greeting and coordinating client visits
- Processing client payments
- Follow-up with clients to ensure returns are signed back to file on time
- Canada Post, Purolator & Courier: receiving and sending mail
- Management of client paperwork: intake, scanning and returns
- Maintaining both electronic and physical filing systems
- Preparation of client year end and tax return packages
- Provide coverage for other administrative staff as requested
- Tending to ad hoc staff & management requests
- Troubleshooting IT issues

**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**
- Administrative assistant: 1 year (required)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to establish priorities and make decisions within prescribed boundaries.
- Solid interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills to liaise with people at all levels.Ability to manage numerous complex and demanding tasks and to meet strict deadlines.
