**Job Overview**
As the Spa Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure client satisfaction, and drive business growth. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment, maintaining operational efficiency, and upholding our commitment to exceptional customer care.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Leadership and Staff Management**:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of massage therapists, front desk staff, and other spa professionals.
- Manage staff schedules to optimize client appointments and maximize productivity.
- Conduct team meetings, performance evaluations, and staff training to improve staff performance.
**Customer Service**:
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards.
- Address and resolve client concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
**Operations and Administration**:
- Oversee daily spa operations, including opening/closing procedures such as cash-out, inventory management, and overall facility maintenance.
- Monitor and manage monthly budgets, weekly financial checks of sales, receipts, cash transactions, and insurance claims.
- Implement and enforce spa policies, procedures, and safety standards.
**Marketing and Growth**:
- Collaborate with our marketing team/ownership to develop and execute promotional campaigns such as Instagram posts and stories, Facebook posts, and maintaining our website.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancements, new offerings, and community and business partnerships.
- Maintain an active presence on social media.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- **Must**have experience working as either a manager, supervisor, or in a similar role in the health and wellness industry such as massage, physiotherapy, and chiropractic clinics and spas.
- **Must**be able to work independently.
- **Must**possess strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- **Must**have basic knowledge of massage therapy, holistic wellness, and spa services.
- **Must**have experience generating basic social media materials (Using Canva to create Instagram posts).
- **Must have proficient experience using Jane Clinic Management System (able to generate reports, adjust transactions, and manage payments, scheduling, and billing through Jane).**:
- **Must have experience working with health insurance claims (able to direct bill to insurers, process insurer cheques, and process MVA claims).**:
- Experience working with budgets, and income tracking is an asset (tracking all expense inflow and outflow in a spreadsheet, and being able to create a budget accordingly (ie. making a goal to spend less than $500 on supplies in the upcoming month)
- Must be driven to consistently seek creative new ways to improve services, operations, employee satisfaction, and to boost sales and business growth.
