Located out of our Heartland Petrochemical Complex (HPC) facility, the Warehouse Technician will report to the HPC SCM, Warehouse Lead. The Warehouse Technician is a member of the HPC Supply Chain Management (SCM) team who will ensure the security and accountability of inventory held in multiple manned and unmanned warehouses across HPC operations. This position will also be responsible for the effective operation of the Tool Crib area to distribute tools to maintenance and operations staff as well as, organize, maintain, and replenish inventory as required.

The HPC is a brand-new facility and the 1st of its kind in Canada, this presents a unique opportunity for the successful hire to play a key role in building and contributing to the overall team culture.

Qualifications and skills:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required, post secondary education with a focus in Supply Chain Management or Warehouse Management is preferred
- Experience operating a forklift. Sit down counter-balance forklift ticket would be considered an asset
- Understanding of how to handle hazardous waste material in a safe manner
- Ability to use computer technology to make labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage
- Ability to work well with others

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

- Perform periodical physical cycle counts
- Hard and soft filing
- Identifying and management Over Short Damaged (OSD)
- Assist with inbound and outbound transportation
- Managing obsolete goods
- Monitor, manage and resolve invoice related issues
- Move and store goods using a combination of manual labor and machinery, equipment including but not limited to forklifts and conveyors
- Perform daily equipment checks for mobile equipment related to the warehouse
- Physical and electronic receipt and issuance of goods
- Pick and stage goods for reservations
- Create purchase requisitions for goods and repairs, including coordination with applicable parties
- Work alongside the Reliability team to efficiently manage inventory levels. Consider turnover, size, weight, and related factors of inventory to manage the usage of space and configuration in the storeroom, Toolcrib and Warehouses
- Role will include daily management of the HPC Tool Crib, issuing tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, utilizing Tool Hound software, recording transactions
- Inspect and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors
- Ensure tools requiring calibration or re-certification are captured and scheduled and executed in a timely manner
- Locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment
- Re-stock tool inventory when levels become low, as well order new tooling for new work when required
- Cross function with other warehouse duties as required

9x80 Monday-Friday

Dayshift, every second Friday off
