**Summary**
**LAUNDRY AIDE**
**Casual**
Evenings /Every other weekend
Shifts: 4-hour shifts weekday (5:00am - 9pm)
Every second weekend (6:30am - 2:45pm)
Laundry Aides: provide clean, disinfected linens, garments and other articles; ensure that all linens, garments and articles are washed, dried, and folded in a high standard to meet expectations; ensure the laundry area and equipment is clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Laundry and/or long-term care facility work preferred
- Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis
- Time Management - perform tasks despite frequent interruptions
- Economical use of supplies, care and use of equipment
- Resident-focused
- Able to problem-solve in a timely manner
- Accountability and dependability
- Adhere to safe work practices and procedures
- Willing to support the mission, health care philosophy and objectives of Sherwood Care
**Job Type**: Casual
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
