Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Asset Technology, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for emergency, routine, and preventative maintenance throughout Dizolve facilities. The Maintenance Technician ensures that all Dizolve machines, equipment, and facilities are operational and functioning safely.
**Duties**
- Complete maintenance tasks as assigned
- Coordinates additional trades support when needed
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, and drawings.
- Performs emergency maintenance Operates forklift and scissor lift, once trained.
- Assists with the installation of new equipment Inspects material handling equipment to ensure it is safe and operational.
- Maintains the spare parts inventory. Troubleshoots quality or machine problems
- Documents maintenance logs and records Reports safety concerns to the Operations Manager
- Records parts and tools inventory Performs other maintenance tasks as required

**Technical Skills & Competency**
- Ability to work shift work, 8-to-12-hour shifts, holidays, overtime, and call-in shifts if required
- Demonstrate good punctuality and attendance
- Must have own reliable transportation
- Forklift training is required
- Scissor lift and fall arrest certification is required
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedure is required
- Millwright, industrial mechanic, electrician, or other relevant trade will be considered an asset
- Has previous experience in a maintenance role
- Has previous experience in a manufacturing environment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
