Moncton, Canada Mrs. Dunster's (1996) Inc. Full time

The Maintenance Technician will keep all bakery equipment, the buildings, and grounds in top shape. They will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance and maintaining the day-to-day operations.

Travel may be required to the other locations in Sussex and Hampton.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure equipment maintenance is carried out in a timely, efficient and safe manner
- Set up, maintain, and be responsible for preventative maintenance systems, inspection routines, identification of plant improvement plans for improved efficiencies and yield
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs according to company guidelines and equipment specifications, ensuring all paperwork and procedures are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Must be available for on call, to respond to and trouble shoot urgent and emergency machine breakdown situations
- Co-ordinate relationships with outside contractors
- Control maintenance expenditures in a cost-effective way according to set budgets for site repairs, resources, direct labor, overtime and contractors
- Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives and safety objectives
- Support production to minimize line downtime and improve operational efficiency
- Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance
- Perform all work in a safe manner, following all health and safety operating procedures
- Contribute to the resolution of systems and equipment breakdowns and general maintenance tasks such as troubleshooting and equipment modifications
- Utilize welding, fabrication, pneumatics and hydraulic skills for equipment repair
- Other duties as assigned, including general building and grounds repairs and upkeep

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to work on and or troubleshoot basic plc and electrical problems
- Ability to adhere to all policies, procedures and programs of the company
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- 3 years of experience in the food industry production lines would be an asset
- Team player, dependable and punctual
- Open to training others in the various plants

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Moncton, NB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
