**Role Summary**

Our Outside Sales position will deal with all aspects of external customer service and customer retention while generating leads for both commercial and residential design projects. This position will oversee small and large-scale Silk Plant Warehouse projects, and includes responsibilities such as consulting with clients on their vision, working within set budgets, and ensuring projects are completed, delivered, and installed within agreed-upon timeframes. This position is diverse, multifaceted, hands-on and customer detail-oriented.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Sales
- Provide each customer and client with a positive and fulfilling brand experience
- Set, meet and report on daily, weekly and monthly sales goals
- Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients and customers
- Generate project and sales leads through local businesses (restaurant patios, office buildings, retail stores and facilities, etc.)
- Complete client consultations for projects and thoroughly discuss each client’s unique vision
- Follow up with new and existing clients on a regular basis
- Prepare and present project proposals to prospective clients
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.

Project Management
- Manage all aspects of projects including consulting and communicating with clients, securing stock, creating designs, and generating quotes
- Developing project plans for clients and staff
- Delegate project responsibilities amongst Design Team
- Supervise completion of projects to ensure they are up to company standards and completed within agreed-upon deadlines
- Ensure that all budgetary objectives are met, making adjustments as needed
- Organize project delivery and installation with clients

Artificial Decor and Design
- Stay on top of current interior design, home decor, and floral design trends
- Work with hands and various tools to build trending and modern faux plant, floral and succulent arrangements
- Consult with clients to determine their preferences and specifications before designing customized faux arrangements

**Qualifications and Skills**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in Business, Design or a related field is considered an asset
- 2+ years experience in a sales or design position is considered an asset
- Business-focused with a proven ability to drive sales
- Passionate about delivering quality customer service
- Knowledgeable of current interior design, home decor and design trends
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills in the English language including verbal, written and active listening
- Valid driver’s license
