**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting practices
- Preparation of monthly internal package
- Preparation of month/year end working papers
- Supporting our external accountants in their annual review
- Preparation of forecasts with complementary controls and variance analysis
- Provide strategic leadership and direction in all financial aspects
- Oversight of internal controls
- Cash management (A/P, A/R)
- Liaise with banking partners
- Provide analysis and insights leadership team
- Company Dashboards and Operating Reports
- Continuous Improvement financial analysis
- Inventory analysis
- Product costing models
- Special projects or tasks for Ownership Company
- Info Systems oversight, particularly the ERP
- Government filings
- Human resources, benefits plans, and other office management related tasks
- Pension Plan administration
- Other tasks as required
**SKILLS & QUALITIFCATIONS**:
- CPA designation or equivalent is required
- Minimum 5 years in a senior accounting role
- Knowledge of full accounting cycle
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
- Exposure to complex ERP systems in a Canadian manufacturing environment is a benefit
- Advanced MS Excel and technical abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team as well as independently with minimum supervision
- Proven ability to lead an accounting team through coaching and mentoring
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English - written, verbal)
- Good energy and sound judgement are required
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships based on trust and integrity
- Demonstrated managerial skills are preferred
- Experience/knowledge of import export considered an asset
- Can combine excellence with humility
