**O'Hanlon Paving-The Fath Group**
**O’Hanlon Paving**, a proud member of The Fath Group, has been a key player in the Edmonton road construction industry for over 65 years. We are currently looking for a an enthusiastic and experienced **Purchaser.**This is a full-time position that will support our construction businesses and our sign manufacturing business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Initiate, develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers and vendors
- Effectively support the business through sourcing, qualifying vendors, and purchasing while ensuring adherence to the corporate policies and processes
- Create and manage purchase orders and revisions for parts, inventory, materials and services
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring on time delivery, expediting, and performing periodic quality and compliance audits
- Address non-conforming material, return for credit, and core credits via RMA or RGM
- Coordinate parts pick-up and deliveries to meet the changing needs of the business
- Participate in company wide strategic initiatives, processes and directives with respect to Procurement
- Collaborate with functional business teams and establish key requirements to help identify cost reductions and better buying practices
- Identify research and resolve invoicing issues between internal finance teams and vendors
- Identify and help reduce redundant P2P task, effort and rework.
- Identify and create appropriate storage methods for purchasing support documentation
- Produce and distribute purchasing reports and dashboards upon request
- Complete additional duties and projects as required for success
**Qualifications**:
- University degree or diploma in Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience purchasing and general knowledge of construction, industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical parts purchasing.
- Intermediate to advanced abilities in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment, parts and materials
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
- Ability to thrive under pressure, multi-task, as well as prioritize and identify urgent requests
- Supportive team player who can work both independently and in team environment
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license or above, with access to a reliable vehicle
