**Overview**

Reporting to the Supervisors, the **Hydrovac Operator **is responsible for setting up and dismantle the tool, filling the water tank, inspect the job site and operate the high-pressure wand for excavation purposes.

**Requirements**:

- Class 3 License (required)
- Class 3 License with Air (preferred)
- Class 1 License (Ideal)
- Willing to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the project (Overtime, Evenings, etc.)
- Experience operating a manual transmission with direct experience on 18 speed vehicles
- Experience as a Hydrovac Operator is an asset
- Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, isolation - Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere, must be able to lift and carry 50lbs+
- Self-disciplined, motivated, organized, and a team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate a manual transmission with direct experience on 18 speed vehicles
- Use a high-pressure wand to loosen the soil and a vacuum system to remove the debris or build-up.
- Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Ensure all Hydrovac truck equipment and components are always in good working condition.
- Ensure proper function by performing pre
- and post-trip inspections
- Safely work in all-weather environments
- Enforce and abide by company safety policies and procedures at any given location.
- Perform potholing, trenching, locating, and or cleaning collecting the material.
- Pulls hose(s) from the hose tray and connects one end to the truck and puts the other end into the pit or connects to a tank to extract fluid and material.
- Uses hand tools and other equipment associated with the truck.

**Salary**: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
