Hybrid In-person/virtual Emdr Psychotherapist

We are currently seeking psychotherapists trained in EMDR therapy. This position is a hybrid of both remote and in-person. In this position, the psychotherapist will be hired as an Independent Contractor. However, opportunities for permanent full-time employment may be available upon successful completion of the probation period.

There is a prevalent myth in the field that mental health that distress is due to the absence of self-care. While self-care is important, it is only one part of the puzzle. Rather than blaming individuals for their own distress, we want to work _with_ them - collaboratively finding strategies and techniques towards their own transformative healing.

Our company will eventually expand to include trauma-informed yoga teachers, life coaches, physiotherapists, naturopaths, etc. to continue holistic healing.

**Qualifications**
- A Master’s degree and Registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) **or** the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
- Experience providing psychotherapy
- Trained in EMDR
- Trained in other therapeutic techniques for trauma - Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, CBT-TF, CPT, Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), IFS for trauma
- Willing to be trained in SSP and RRP
- Deeply committed to their own growth as a anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and intersectional practitioner
