We are seeking a Plant Manager who will ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Wind generation facility. This position leads all aspects of the operational and administrative needs of the facility.
As the top-level leader on site, you will ensure Enbridge values are accurately applied on site and managed effectively. The role will be based in **Vulcan County,**Alberta.**
This position is eligible for an annual bonus, benefits on day one of employment, pension and savings plan in addition to 3 weeks’ vacation.
**What You Will Do**:
- Accountable for the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of the assigned facilities, in accordance with their operating plans, and for effective leadership to site team members.
- Ensure the safety of staff, contractors, equipment, and the site operations overall.
- Actively manage reliability of all assigned site operations; provide appropriate contractor oversight for maintenance and troubleshooting of wind turbines, SCADA, substation, collection system, and met-towers. Ensure timely execution of asset integrity management plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including NERC, CIP, FAA, and other applicable regulations.
- Ensure successful use of maintenance management systems /monthly/bi-annual/annual information is captured and completed, with updates as required.
- Lead engagement of support services for the site (engineering, finance, regulatory compliance, environment, security). Support and promote information flow to and from all levels within the region and across Enbridge.
- Manage and administer budgets, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (P&L reports, EBITDA, OPEX forecasting, etc.)
**Who You Are**:
- You possess technical trade education or industrial process plant experience is preferred.
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Prior wind generation plant operations experience considered an asset. Experience working with electrical systems is preferred.
- Solid understanding of budgets and financial reporting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues as it relates to the onsite SCADA substation and meteorological towers.
- Unwavering dedication to a safe, incident-free work environment.
- Strong leadership abilities to manage multiple commitments in a fast paced environment.
This role will require being on-call (24/7) to respond to emergencies and/or maintenance needs of the site (on a pre-determined, scheduled basis).
