**About This Opportunity**:
**Responsibilities**:
- The main portfolio responsibilities include, but not limited to: Chemicals, Utilities, Pallets, MRO, Waste and small Capital projects nationally.
- Leads all activities related to these categories including scorecarding, actively monitoring KPIs and negotiations.
- Provides support to internal stakeholders aligning on company priorities and business needs.
- Build strong supplier relationships and category management to ensure deliverables are being met.
- Develop detailed sourcing and category plans to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Implement procurement processes to ensure efficiency, cost savings and best practices.
- Perform sourcing, liaising and negotiating with new and existing suppliers to improve business performance.
- Ensure contract compliance necessary for the acquisition of materials and services.
- Review supplier’s performance to ensure compliance with company procedures and best procurement practice.
- Maintain positive working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
**Qualifications**:
- University degree, college diploma or equipment experience with a focus in Procurement or Supply Chain
- SCMP or equivalent designation preferred (or in progress of obtaining)
- 3-5 years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience
- Must have strong strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analytics and contract negotiation skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making
- Experience with SAP preferred as well as strong technical skills in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Developing presentations and communicating with leadership will be a responsibility of this position
- Ability to influence and maintain a collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders
- Capability to build strong partnerships with external vendors and partners
