**Job Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Procurement and Supplier Management**:

- Generate and manage purchase orders (POs) for both international and local suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, secure competitive pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their offerings, and assess their reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Procure fresh seafood and related products, such as fish from Mexico, mussels, live clams, and other items, based on sales team requirements and market availability.
- Regularly communicate with vendors to confirm product availability, negotiate pricing, and address any issues related to orders or deliveries.

**Inventory Management and Stock Control**:

- Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, minimizing both shortages and excess inventory.
- **: Collaborate with management to place orders for low-stock items and adjust procurement strategies based on sales forecasts and inventory turnover.
- Create and maintain accurate records for all items, including descriptions, units of measure, and attributes, ensuring consistency across systems.
- Supervise the receipt of goods, ensuring that all items meet quality standards and are accurately recorded in the inventory system.

**Order Processing and Sales Support**:

- Assist the sales team by creating sales orders, ensuring that all customer requirements are met promptly and accurately.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
- Post sales invoices in the system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with sales orders and purchase records.

**Reporting and Documentation**:

- Provide management with weekly reports detailing incoming POs, estimated time of arrival (ETA), and pricing per unit for all items.
- Monitor inventory variances and collaborate with the Accounting Manager to address discrepancies and facilitate necessary adjustments.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

**Collaboration and Continuous Improvement**:

- **Team Collaboration**: Participate in daily or as-needed meetings with management to discuss purchasing strategies, inventory status, and operational improvements.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supplier relationships.
- **Cross-Departmental Support**: Work closely with other departments, including sales, accounting, and warehouse teams, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.

**Additional Duties**:

- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Immediate Manager or Management team to support business operations and objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the seafood or food distribution industry.
- Business Central knowledge is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in inventory management and purchasing software, with a solid understanding of procurement processes.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
