I’m looking to hire a patient, kind, down to earth person with some life experience, as a companion for my dad who has some dementia, and lives in Bowness. A gentleman is preferred for this position but will consider a lady if the fit is right. Must come at least once a week 5/6pm - 8pm.

You must speak excellent english and be willing to speak up to be heard. You must be a good conversation starter and listener. The evening may include going for a walk, microwaving his supper, conversing, bit of tv, reading, other creative ideas welcome. some light housework would also sometimes be needed. (dishes, folding laundry etc.)

Experience with seniors and dementia is preferred. My dad grew up on a farm in Manitoba, appreciates a strong work ethic and likes(ed) history, cars, tools, going for drives & sharing life stories. He’s not interested in games, puzzles, sports, crowds or movies.

Must have own car and be willing to occasionally take him places close by.
