As a People Solutions Generalist within Varicent, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our workforce across multiple countries (Canada, US, UK, Romania, and Australia). You will work closely with the employee experience team to execute HR initiatives, administer policies and procedures, and provide strategic support to managers and employees alike. This role requires an understanding of HR practices, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a motivated HR professional with a passion for supporting employees and driving organizational success.
**What you will do**:
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR-related issues.
- Partner with the leadership team to facilitate employee engagement action plans for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of people programs, procedures, tools, and policies including communication and documentation.
- Conduct investigations into employee issues and conflicts and recommend appropriate actions in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Foster positive employee relations by promoting open communication, fairness, and respect in the workplace.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching managers on performance-related issues.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify training and development needs across the organization and collaborate with HR team members to design and deliver relevant programs.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations in all regions where the company operates.
- Participate in HR project teams.
**Success Outomes**:
- ** 1-3 Months**:
- Complete onboarding process. Including understanding of organizational structure, key stakeholders and HR procedures.
- Review Comp 101 and Comp 201.
- Familiarize oneself with company policies, procedures and culture.
- Meet HR team and Leaders, build rapport.
- Review HR processes and tools.
- Establish goals for remainder of current half.
- ** 4-6 Months**:
- Familiarize oneself with Lattice.
- Start to coach leaders on employee relations issues; action plans for performance improvement.
- Work with Talent Enablement team to launch HR initiatives with employees and leaders.
- Work along side HRBP to learn review and calibration process.
- ** 7 Months & beyond**:
- Assist in planning for new HR initiatives to support business needs.
- Understand data available and how to utilize it to support initiatives, leaders, HR org. to best support organizational goals.
**What you will bring**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in HR generalist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations across multiple regions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Agile and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy, efficiency, and in a timely manner.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
