Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Co-op Student **to join our team In this role you will get to **work with the procurement and contracts team.**

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Assist the team with preparing POs and track in internal system
- Work with the procurement team to following up on Purchase Orders, monitoring, and alerting Procurement staff to any issues
- May be asked to follow up with vendors
- Monitoring Purchase Orders to ensure that deliveries are on schedule
- Assist the procurement team with daily purchasing functions
- Accurately look to resolve issues and make suggestions to the Procurement manager, who will with a high level of professionalism, ensuring high service level standards are met and communicating effectively across departments
- Maintain awareness of potential sources, products and cost saving opportunities
- Assist the Procurement assistant with maintaining purchase agreements using approved practices
- Maintain supplier database and schedule and monitor the recurring purchases
- Collect and properly file field paperwork including: packing slips, receipts, etc.
- Administrative duties within the department or as part of other departments as required
- Reviewing order acknowledgements for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinating with vendors to resolve issues
- Ensuring accurate system information
- As requested by the Procurement manager, expedite purchase orders and updating system information accordingly
- Assistance to Accounts Payable department in the resolution of invoicing inquiries
- Various special projects and other duties as assigned.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Incumbent must be enrolled in Business Administration (or related) curriculum at an accredited college or university and have completed typically 1+ year of studies.
- Ability to collaborate
- Professionalism, the ability to multi-task, strong teamwork skills and passion for customer service
- Experience in the construction industry is a strong asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills - ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated.
- Ability to initiate and implement necessary plans and programs
- Demonstrated initiative, judgment and maturity, deals with confidential information with the utmost discretion, respect, and care
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
