We have a proven record of developing Human Resources Coordinators and launching their HR careers. We are currently seeking a permanent, full time Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following;
The Human Resources Coordinator processes biweekly payroll functions and reports, and supports the Director of Human Resources with all aspects of Human Resources.

The duties of the Human Resources Coordinator include but are not limited to:
1. Payroll administration and reporting, inclusive of daily time entry, Payroll Status Authorized changes, etc.

2. Processing of bi-weekly payroll, inclusive of new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, gratuities, ROEs, annual T-4’s, etc

3. Payroll/HR reports - generate and distribute bi-weekly and monthly reports such as vacation, birthday, anniversary, vacation entitlement review changes, etc.

4. Associate Benefit Program administration for non-union associates, inclusive of remittances, enrolments, deletions, changes, etc

5. Assisting unionized associates with benefit enrollment, change and claim forms

6. Update job postings in a timely manner, inclusive of but not limited to INDEED, college job boards, etc

9. General HR office administration (filing, photocopying, mail, etc)

11. Keep record of and provide guidance to all associates in regards to any work related concerns, elevate to Director of HR where/when appropriate

12. Assist in resume screening/selection

13. Conduct pre-screen interviews for available positions as required

14. Coordinate with Director of HR and/or Hiring Managers for scheduling interviews

15. Schedule and complete new hire onboarding, documentation, system set up and property tour

16. Complete Marriott’s Learning Coordinator certification

17. Assist with scheduling/facilitating BASE training programs

18. Assist with other training program as may be required

19. Meeting and on-boarding of all new hires and providing them with new hire packages, required documentation, name badge, associate ID, etc

20. Processing new hire information and fingers scans on PAK time and Ceridian systems.

21. Preparing new associate personnel files

22. Ensuring that all associate files are kept updated, confidential and accurate

23. To monitor and follow up monthly on probation periods - notify department heads of impending 3 month reviews for that month

24. To ensure all relevant legislation and laws are adhered to: Human Rights, Collective Agreement, Health & Safety, and Employment Standards at all times

25. Participate in Social Committee events

26. Participate in WSIB reports/ filing of form 7’s, monitor return to work programs, medical notes, etc

27. Coordination of cooperative education programs - liaise with teachers and school boards, department heads/supervisors for interviews, offers, schedules, concerns, etc.

28. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Human Resources and/or General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be legally permitted to work full time hours in Canada

2. Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook,

3. Experience with DayForce Power Pay and DayForce Time and Attendance payroll systems an asset.

4. Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and employees.

5. Must have excellent Organizational skills and with the ability to multi-task.

6. Must have proven experience/ability to deal with confidential/sensitive information

7. Must have strong mathematical aptitude

8. Must have strong interpersonal skills

9. Preference for completion of, or current enrollment in a post secondary Human Resources program
