**Job Description**:

- Maintain, develop and coordinate all aspects of the architectural practice
- Prepare creative, functional and innovative designs for clients
- Develop, manage and grow the architecture department
- Supervise and mentor within a team environment
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced architects, designers and technical staff; provide direction to help others meet objectives
- Write and coordinate winning proposals, attract new clients and retain current clients as required
- Manage financial and cost control aspects of architectural led projects
- Meet with clients to discuss potential new work and/or review project requirements
- Lead and manage a design team to produce fully coordinated architectural working drawings and project specifications
- Collaborate with management on preparation of project proposals; oversee architectural development proposals and feasibility studies
- Communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
- Preparation of design and contract documents, document checking, conduct construction review and contract administration throughout the duration of a project
- Communicate with construction team to provide information and solve problems

**Qualifications**:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Professional Architect
- 8+ years of solid design in institutional, commercial and municipal buildings experience managing projects and people

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 10+ years of experience managing projects and people
- Thorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailing
- Strong business acumen and people manager skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated strong creativity in design
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Exceptional technical knowledge of building construction and the Saskatchewan Building Code
- Ability to supervise production of a number of projects simultaneously
- Ability to work within and lead in a team environment
- Ability to co-ordinate with a multi-disciplinary in-house consultant team
- Multi-tasking is very important for this position, combined with attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Outlook, Adobe
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Photoshop, Sketchup, and other artistic methods necessary to convey creative ideas
- High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning
- Must be dedicated to working hard with an all-hands-on-deck attitude towards completing the work efficiently and accurately
- Must possess a valid driver's licenseAdditional Information:
