Project Manager - Penner Project & Penner Design

As Project Manager in Penner Project or Penner Design, reporting to the Director of Project Management, you will join the fastest growing and the evolving leader in our industry. From a strategic standpoint, our key priorities are a focus on being the expert, delivering on customers evolving timelines, and resolving issues with urgency.
The Project Manager role has two paths. One path is leveraging our support network of Project Estimators, Project Coordinators and Project Administrators. The second is a Project Manager role in our newly formed Penner Design group. Project Managers is this group are focused on Design Build & Construction Management projects where customers need our expertise from specification writing, budgeting to alternatives in product choice and ultimately are a “single point of contact”, from beginning to end.
**Position and Responsibilities**
- Oversee multiple construction projects that are varied in size and scope for a diverse set of clients;
- Manage the daily oversight of all construction management efforts from proposal to project closeout;
- Anticipate and address the needs of the project team and customers;
- Take a proactive and professional approach to problem-solving and have strong organizational abilities;
- Provide exceptional customer service, and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Reviews contract/purchase documents to ensure accuracy.
- Reviews architectural drawings and specifications.
- Create door & hardware schedules, shop drawings, purchase orders, and manage the overall profitability of the project.
- Site visits are made to measure for materials, solve problems and liaise with customers
- Monitors the progress of the project by consistent communication with the client and the construction schedule.
- Ensure proper change management within the project.
- Ensures that all financial processes are completed.
**Education and Training Requirements**:
- A minimum of five (5) years of work experience with commercial doors & hardware or related items is required.
- PMP Designation is considered an asset
- The strong knowledge base of the construction and building materials industry.
- Post-secondary education is preferred: Construction Engineering-related sciences such as an Architectural & Building Technologies Diploma or Architectural & Interior Technologies Diploma.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Computer systems knowledge is a must, All Microsoft programs(excel, project, office)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
Commission Opportunity: 5 to 20%+ of Salary
