**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide preventative maintenance services to accommodate departmental and classroom space changes including addition of walls, partitions, ceilings, and related works.
- Provide material quantity and cost for estimating purposes regarding painting needs.
- Intricate painting and finishing
- Drafting sketches and drawings
- Coordinate repairs to damaged wall, ceiling, along with preparation and painting self-inspection of the facilities.
- Provide technical and support information to skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled staff as required
- Recommend materials and equipment required for purchase by department.
- Assist the Manager, Operations and Carpenters in the co-ordination of contracted construction and painting activities as required
- Operate College vehicles as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in painting, repairs and decorating
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code and a number of other regulations pertaining to renovation and new construction activities.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
