Auto Body Painter & Prepper
Duties:
- Repair and restore damaged vehicles to their original condition
- Perform bodywork, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming
- Apply paint and clear coat to achieve a seamless finish
- Repair or replace damaged glass, mirrors, and trim
- Remove and install vehicle components, such as doors, fenders, and bumpers
- Inspect vehicles for structural damage and assess repair needs
- Use various tools and equipment, including welders, air tools, and paint sprayers
- Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an auto body technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and materials
- Proficient in using body shop tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and diagrams
- Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Valid driver's license
