**JOB SUMMARY**

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. They will collaborate daily with onsite leadership to complete projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and with the specified quality of workmanship

**OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
- Monitor project deliverables
- Set project timelines
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients and team members
- Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
- Have a complete and thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract documents, the general contract and the subcontracts

**REQUIRED SKILLS and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree or diploma in Business, Mechanical or Civil Engineering is a requirement; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- A degree in Project Management or recognized designation, such as PMP, is an asset
- CSTS and First Aid certifications are required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Alberta energy, industrial construction and/or oil and gas industries is required
- Experience managing unit rate or lump sum contracts
- Experience managing a single large project or several projects simultaneously
- Experience as a construction supervisor or field superintendent is an asset
- Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic and conflict resolution skills
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work on location when required
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft word, Excel, and scheduling software (MS Projects, P6, Excel)
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing including marijuana
- Must be fit-for-duty
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada

**TRAVEL & SCHEDULE**
- Willing to stay in camp accommodations if required
- Willing to travel
