**Summary**:The Supervisor provides direct oversight to the staff of Employment Services to ensure that Employment Plans, support strategies, communications, and documentation are in place to ensure service excellence. This position is responsible for the hiring, supervision, and development of staff in Employment Services. In addition, the Supervisor provides value-based leadership and service quality for Employment Services and PSI clients, which includes pro-active, progressive, and innovative leadership. Works closely with the Manager, Learning and Employment Services to ensure program innovation and quality assurance.

**Employment Services Responsibilities**
- Provides positive and professional leadership, oversight, and support to the staff of Employment Services to ensure that the team provides quality individualized services that meet the agency and team mandate
- Is responsible for the planning, coordination, administration, and delivery of the Society’s ES program, ensuring that the goals and objectives of the program are met
- Supervises staff, students, and volunteers who work in the ES department
- Oversees staff orientation within the team
- Hires staff in Employment Services, and will be involved in discipline as well as termination with the oversight of the director
- Ensures regular evaluation and assessment of services to clients; implements strategies and mechanisms to improve service delivery
- Works closely with ES staff to implement new initiatives and innovative practices into the delivery of the organization’s Employment and PSI Services
- Acts as a resource for staff in the planning, writing, and implementation of goals/Employment Plans
- Acts as a resource for staff in the documentation of client progress, job development, and other Employment Services related duties
- Monitors staff performance through a review of completed work and the provision of formal and informal feedback
- Ensures regular monitoring of established measurable service level outcomes. Performs quality assurance evaluations of outcome results with an eye toward continuous improvement
- Ensures compliance with all applicable employment and service standards
- Additional Responsibilities may, at the discretion of the Manager, include: _
- Development and delivery of database systems within the organization
- Providing additional support to management in areas of compliance with the requirements of GHS policies and processes, CARF accreditation, and funder contracts
- Provide supervisorial support to all Learning and Employment programs in the absence of the Director
Other responsibilities as may be delegated by senior management
**Required Qualifications**
- Two or more years’ experience in the delivery of Employment Services
- Three or more years of related experience at a coordinator/supervisor level is required
- Conflict resolution skills including the ability to handle concerns and issues with clients and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership ability to develop strong, functioning teams
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
- A post-secondary degree in a relevant field: Social Services, Counselling or other relevant post-secondary education or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Knowledge of accreditation standards that inform the delivery of Employment Services
