Last Door Recovery Society is a leader in fostering a community that inspires recovery. Our mission is to provide therapeutic environments where individuals and families dealing with addiction issues can develop the necessary skills to live free in recovery. We offer long-term bed-based and outpatient treatment for men aged 19 and over, utilizing a Social Model treatment modality. **Position Overview**:
As the Clinical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing organizational effectiveness and efficiency within the clinical services department. Reporting directly to the Program Director, this position involves providing strategic and operational leadership, acting as the custodian of health information, overseeing clinical program development, and supervising a diverse team of clinicians. You will ensure all clinical services are delivered in accordance with the highest standards of care and compliance with privacy laws, while aligning with the organization's strategic goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide direct clinical supervision to clinicians specializing in substance use disorders and mental health. Lead weekly group supervision and foster an environment of continuous improvement and high-quality care.
- Innovate and oversee the development of evidence-based programs that meet community needs and strategic objectives. Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care are met.
- Conduct performance evaluations, manage quality assurance, and lead auditing of clinical reporting to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations, develop clinical policies and procedures, and ensure all activities are compliant.
- Provide in-house training and supervisory support to ensure all team members are well-informed and skilled.
- Foster collaborative communication with internal teams and community partners. Act as a liaison with external groups to align goals and client treatment plans.
- Provide leadership in emergency situations using crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
- Manage budget and resources effectively, support recruitment and retention initiatives.
**Qualifications**:
- Preferred master's degree in a regulated health profession (e.g., Social Work, Psychotherapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy).
- Membership in good standing with a regulatory college.
- Minimum five years of clinical leadership experience in mental health and addiction treatment.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Crisis training and therapy certifications (CBT, DBT, CPT) are considered strong assets.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office suite and clinical management software.
- Persons with lived experience considered an asset.
- Must complete and pass a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check prior to employment and annually thereafter.
**Work Hours**:
Formal work hours typically align with Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM framework. The role includes on-call supervision and hours will vary based on program functioning.
