Vice President Operations

Reporting to the Bimbo Canada President, this role will oversee Canadian operations, and will be a key member of the Canadian executive team. As a key strategist and proven operational supply chain leader, this individual is charged with all elements of the company’s safety, production and baking specialty across Canada - to create a highly focused and low-cost operations model that is best-of-class within the baked goods and snacking industry. In addition, this executive will work closely with other divisions in the Americas and around the globe. This executive will oversee a team of approximately 2,500 direct and indirect associates, as well as outside third-party suppliers.

**KEY PRIORITIES INCLUDE**:

- **_Be the Bimbo Canada Safety Ambassador_**

Be a role model for our fundamental culture of Associate safety and overall compliance to both internal and external, Health & Safety guidelines and laws, respectively.
- **_Maintain and enhance a lean and cost-effective Supply Chain network throughout Canada _**

The National Vice President of Operations will be responsible for delivering continuous reduction in direct product costs leveraging the most current operating systems, engaging, and retaining a highly skilled and agile Associate workforce, and supporting the Bimbo Canada logistics, field sales and commercial teams with necessary plant to route to market insight and support for current and future products.
- **_Strategic leadership for the entire Bimbo Canada Operations team_**_ _**

This role is critical to provide not only strategic, but effective and decisive leadership to the Bimbo Canada production network. This role is critical to continuously improve our manufacturing operating results (_financial and process_) and efficiencies while meeting customer expectations, minimizing waste, utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles, and effectively managing capital and operating budgets.
- **_Develop and maintain capable and effective Associate relations_**

Consistently strive for effective and healthy Associate relations, inspiring them to demonstrate the Grupo Bimbo beliefs, including engaging behaviours designed to unlock discretionary effort and support the endorsement of diversity, equity and belonging opportunities
- **_Providing timely network sourcing and asset optimization _**

Given the global nature of the company, this executive must promote a global-minded culture. The VP must be naturally oriented towards building bridges and networks with colleagues around the country, and the world, and ensure that their team is equally broad minded in leveraging and sharing commercial learnings, leveraging winning network solutions/processes across regions/markets to derive the most effective utilization of resources and top quality in the production and supply of baked goods and snacks.
- **_Build and strengthen the capabilities of the Operations management team _**

This executive will inherit a solid team throughout Operations that can challenge themselves to accomplish more. The VP must both identify and nurture their capabilities, balancing the need to deliver results with the investment of longer-term skills and capabilities, inspiring the team to achieve their full potential individually and collectively.
- **_Become an important member of the President’s executive team _**

**Position Requirements**:
**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**
- 15+ years of experience in operations with at least 10 of those in a management position
- Must have substantial food industry-specific experience, with a strong preference for actual baking experiences and background
- Master’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field a plus
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrates a proven background operating in a high-speed executional supply chain network
- Experience working with unionized workforce preferred
