Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President, High Risk Activity Training & Operations provides oversight for the delivery of high-risk activity education that focuses on skills development and the elimination of workplace injuries and illnesses and the promotion of health and safety to stakeholders, customers and IHSA members across the province. The role is also responsible for ensuring that IHSA facilities are adequately equipped to effectively and efficiently deliver IHSA training programs.

**Health & Safety**:
- Promotes a culture of health and safety across the Association through the alignment, collaboration, and coordination with staff and stakeholders on the development and execution of Health and Safety initiatives, practices and programs that support the strategic plan.
- Demonstrates the implementation of Health & Safety programs, policies and procedures pertaining to employee health and safety, training, safety compliance, and industry best practices to ensure a successful and effective functioning health & safety management system.
- Regularly disseminates and communicates information to staff pertaining to legislation, health & safety policies, practices, procedures, and any related health & safety matters.
**Operational Leadership**:
- Oversees the scheduling and execution of high risk activity training programs and Powerline Technician Apprenticeship for IHSA members, customers and other stakeholders within the construction, electrical and transportation sectors across the province, ensuring programs are effectively delivered, measured and evaluated to support client/customer needs, optimal training consulting services are provided and all activities are in compliance with IHSA/legislated policies and practices and industry codes and standards.
- Evaluates industry trends and changes in legislative priorities/requirements, identifying areas for modification/new program development, liaising with Program Development staff to ensure program designs are updated/developed to meet client/customer needs and ensuring program content continues to be relevant and current.
- Oversees the management of IHSA short-term rental training facilities, provision and maintenance of equipment and materials needed for delivery of programs, ensuring class schedules are optimized and effectively managed; logistics are coordinated, classrooms are adequately prepared, special requests are addressed, and budgets are managed.
- Oversees the design and development of IHSA short-term rental training facilities, providing recommendations on designs and expected deliverables, ensuring alignment with IHSA strategies, and determining/approving optimal designs and expenditures.
**Planning & Development**:
- Collaborates with IHSA division/department executives and colleagues to develop and implement IHSA organizational goals and strategies and divisional strategic/operational plans.
- Develops and executes division business plans, determining budgets, objectives and priorities that are aligned with IHSA’s strategic direction, establishing performance and success measures and ensuring the effective delivery of results and desired outcomes.
