Lead Finisher

**Position Summary**:
The Lead Finisher will oversee all finishing operations, ensuring top-quality finishes on custom cabinetry projects. This role requires hands-on finishing skills, knowledge of various finishing techniques, and experience with high-end materials. The Lead Finisher will be responsible for leading the finishing team, coordinating with the Production Manager, the production and installation teams, and the Project and Operations Manager, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the finishing process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Quality Control**: Inspect finished products, ensuring every piece meets high-end cabinetry standards.
- **Team Leadership**: Provide guidance, training, and support to finishing and production team members, overseeing their work and helping develop their skills.
- **Inventory Management**: Oversee inventory levels for finishing supplies, including ordering materials and managing stock to avoid downtime and maintain consistent quality.
- **Safety Compliance**: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with the Production Manager, the production and installation teams, and the Project and Operations Manager to ensure that finishes align with project requirements and deadlines.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: 5+ years of professional experience in a finishing role, preferably in high-end cabinetry or custom woodworking.
- **Attention to Detail**: Exceptional eye for color, texture, and quality, with a commitment to producing consistent, flawless finishes.
- **Leadership Ability**: Experience leading a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in a workshop environment.
- **Safety Knowledge**: Familiarity with safety standards, particularly in handling chemicals and operating finishing equipment.

Pronautic is a top-end custom cabinetry and millwork company based in North Saanich, BC. With over 20 years in the industry, Pronautic supplies custom fit cabinetry and millwork solutions to our clients from our 16000 square foot production facility near the Victoria International airport.

We specialize in high-end residential millwork, but we don't stop there. We complete projects across a wide range of sectors, including the marine industry (yacht and commercial ship interiors), camper interiors, and commercial offices and restaurants. We also supply RTE cabinetry and contract finishing services to our partners throughout greater Victoria.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
