**Logistics Manager**

Taknology (Canada) Inc. is a Canadian distributor, headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Since 1985, Taknology operates as a specialty distributor of consumer electronics and digital imaging products. We cater to independent dealers and corporate resellers across Canada.

**Position Summary**:
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the day to day warehouse operations and distribution for incoming and outgoing product needs. This role offers a great opportunity to learn and grow your career in warehouse distribution and management. Reporting to the director, and you will work closely with the management team and will facilitate, customer orders and distribution to drive the continuous improvement of on-site experience and support the growth of the company.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the warehouse team members by providing clear communication, direction, support and follow up to ensure accurate and timely execution of all warehouse operations
- Plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient manner
- Handle rate negotiations with carriers and review annually contract
- Source new shipping companies, negotiate pricing and delivery times
- Monitor the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards
- Consistently seek to improve productivity and implement processes to minimize errors
- Set goals and priorities for the warehouse team to enable accurate, efficient, and timely task completion
- Ensuring the company complies with safety and health regulations
- Additional duties as assigned

**Requirements and skills**
- Good written and verbal communication skills at all levels of management
- Established team building, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Forklift Certificate
- Current First Aid Certification
- High School Diploma required, post-secondary in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years experience working with Warehouse Operations or Distribution
- 1-2 years experience in management or a supervisory role preferred
- Solid team player, continuous willingness to learn

**Terms of Employment**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday

There are paid vacations and holidays after the 3-month probation period.
