Schwabe Construction is a residential framing company, working mostly in West Ottawa, though it can vary. We frame floors, walls and roofs.We give many opportunities for learning and quick advancement, regardless of your current experience level.

**Job description**:
The entry level position will be performing tasks including (but not limited to) the below:

- Cleaning job site
- Helping to lift walls, carrying sheets, etc.
- Measuring and cutting wood
- Helping building walls, etc.
- Additional support as necessary

Open to all experience levels, including no previous experience. Additional tasks will be dictated by experience level.

**Hours/wages**:

- Mon-Fri (occasionally, one day on the weekend during heavy production times may be required)
- 7:00am-4:30pm (2 breaks)
- $20-$25/hr starting, dependant on experience. Quick advancement and salary growth opportunities based on your work.

**Work conditions and physical capabilities required**:

- Physically demanding
- Handling heavy items (be able to walk with 50 lb+)
- Climbing ladders, bending, crouching, kneeling
- Working at heights
- Working outdoors in all climates, summer and winter (as is safe)

**Qualities required**:

- Reliable
- Good work ethic, committed
- Positive attitude
- Team player
- Flexible schedule (availability to work extended hours occasionally)
- Transportation to the job site each day. Having your own vehicle in working condition is necessary, as many of these locations are not close to public transportation.
- Basic safety wear and hand tools, including: steel toe safety work boots, hard hat (not white; blue preferred), pouch, hammer, speed square, nail bar, measuring tape, chalk line, utility knife, pencils
- Experience using a skill saw
- Completed a 'Working at Heights' training course (with certificate)
- Please include this in your resume if you have a valid Working at Heights certificate._
