**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Dispatch & Fleet Management**:

- Oversee the assignment of loads to drivers, optimizing route planning and vehicle utilization for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage real-time freight movements, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to just-in-time (JIT) schedules crucial to the automotive industry.
- Ensure capacity meets demand, both for existing and new clients, by efficiently managing the fleet and coordinating with third-party carriers when needed.
- Analyze delivery routes and performance, adjusting strategies to maximize productivity and minimize delivery costs.
- **Client Relationships & Business Development**:

- Leverage business to enhance **JBS EXPEDITE’S** automotive sector operations, bringing new opportunities and maintaining current relationships.
- Act as a primary point of contact for key accounts within your network, ensuring all needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling or expanding services.
- Provide superior customer service by addressing any issues, delays, or challenges promptly and effectively, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and business development teams to identify and pursue new opportunities within the automotive sector.
- **Automotive Industry Expertise**:

- Utilize in-depth knowledge of the automotive supply chain to ensure precise scheduling and delivery of parts, components, and finished goods in line with industry standards.
- Understand and navigate the critical nature of just-in-time (JIT) delivery systems, ensuring that all freight movements support production lines without delays.
- Provide clients with tailored logistics solutions based on their unique automotive sector needs, including expedited shipping and cross-border compliance.
- **Operational Coordination & Problem Solving**:

- Anticipate and resolve operational issues such as traffic delays, equipment breakdowns, and route inefficiencies to prevent delivery disruptions.
- Create contingency plans in response to unforeseen circumstances, including rerouting and load reassignment to keep deliveries on track.
- Work closely with fleet maintenance teams to address vehicle and equipment issues that may impact delivery timelines.
- **Data Management & Reporting**:

- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software to track all freight movements, maintain dispatch logs, and analyze performance metrics.
- Provide detailed reports to management and clients on key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery rates, fleet utilization, and service efficiency.
- Regularly review operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes to enhance service quality.
- **Compliance & Safety**:

- Ensure all drivers adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS), weight limits, and safety protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation regulations and industry standards to ensure full compliance across all dispatch operations.
- Promote safety-first practices across all levels of dispatch and driver operations, ensuring that all vehicles and drivers meet the necessary safety requirements.
- **Collaboration & Teamwork**:

- Work closely with internal teams, including customer service, sales, and operations, to provide a seamless logistics experience for automotive clients.
- Engage with external carriers and partners to ensure capacity needs are met, negotiating rates and service agreements as necessary.
- Contribute to **JBS EXPEDITE’S** ongoing efforts to innovate and improve service offerings, sharing industry insights and expertise with the broader team.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of dispatch experience in the transportation and logistics industry, with a specific focus on automotive logistics.
- An established rapport in the automotive sector, with a proven track record of managing high-value accounts and growing business relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of just-in-time (JIT) delivery systems, automotive supply chains, and cross-border logistics.
- Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to maintain and grow client accounts.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues in real-time.
