**The opportunity**

We are currently seeking an Advisor, Corporate Communications (Internal), to join our Corporate Communications team, based in Calgary, AB.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications (Internal), we're looking for a critical thinker, with exemplary writing skills, proven experience executing strategic communications plans and a background in internal communications. In this role, you will add value to strategic programs, campaigns and messaging that educates, informs and inspires our employee across our North American footprint. In return, you will work closely with an engaged team of high performers, become a part of a supportive and positive culture and learn a lot on the way.

**What you'll do**
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align messaging across the Communications department and channels
- Co-create engaging, audience-centric content for various internal communication channels, including articles, briefing notes, videos, intranet and more
- Alongside colleagues provide program and communications support for internal business partners and the execution of our employee education and advocacy programs
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our business and industry to translate complex information into relatable and memorable content for our employee audiences
- Play an integral role in supporting enterprise-wide events
- Identify and champion alignment opportunities across the organization, connecting the dots between corporate initiatives, priorities and timelines
- Support process improvement and development to drive efficiency and alignment
- Monitor and measure communication results to improve effectiveness of strategies and tactics

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or equivalent
- Four years of related experience
- Proven experience creating content for various internal communication channels, including articles, briefing notes, videos, intranet, etc.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proven experience in the energy industry
- Be available for extended work hours outside of standard business hours, call-out support and emergency support as needed
- Have current, valid authorization to travel internationally (including but not limited to Canada, US and Mexico)
