The Compliance Specialist is responsible for independently managing and monitoring the processing, review and approval of all controlled documents in both electronic document management systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the development and roll-out of document management tools, monitors documentation/Quality Systems function, and coordinate with IT on issues
- Maintain master documents and records (both hardcopy and/or electronic) to ensure documentation is retrievable and files are accurate, complete, and well organized
- Manage the document periodic review process
- Support orientation and conduct GxP training in a friendly manner for new hires
- Assist with training new hires on general SOPs
- Collaborate with Departmental Managers to develop a GxP training matrix for all employees
- Coordinate training of employees on new or revised SOPs
- Issuance of Batch processing records for production team
- Develop deviation reports, change controls, SOPs, specifications, and any quality related records
- Develop and perform protocols, report or any technical documents related to Quality department
- Tracks calibration / PM schedule for multiple equipment, coordinate calibration of scales.
- Reviews activity logbooks, batch records ensure good documentation practices are enforced.
- Ensures full implementation of CannaPiece standard operating procedures.
- Provides support to Quality Assurance Person and other QA/compliance specialists as required.
- Provides suggestions and involvement in CAPA processes
- Participates in internal (Self) Audit, client’s audit, and Health Canada inspection
- Review Cannabis destruction records and documents non-conformances if required

**Requirements**:

- A university degree (B.Sc.) in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy or Food.
- Minimum three year of experience in a pharma, cosmetics, food, and/or cannabis industry.
- Familiarity with GMP, GPP, GCP and/or any ISO quality management system is an asset.
- Good Understanding of Cannabis regulations would be an asset.
- Multitasking, good communication skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to function under pressure and within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills
- Ability to work both alone and in teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
