Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality product development and manufacturing processes. The role requires strong analysis skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of quality assurance and control practices.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, squares and assist QC inspector.
  • Utilize data collection techniques to analyze quality metrics and identify areas for improvement within the production process.
  • Coordinate measurement machine activities and oversee calibration procedures for measurement tools.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures aligned with quality systems and quality management principles.
  • Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop corrective actions.
  • Support the development, review, and maintenance of documentation related to quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and evidence of compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly KPIs for external customer concerns, internal error tracking and drafting continuous improvement.
  • Inspect raw materials and issue vendor non conformance report if needed.
  • Notify customers promptly about quality issues, deviations or delays that might affect them.
  • Handle customer and external complaints and investigate reasons for concerns.

Experience

  • Proven experience working within a manufacturing environment focused on quality control or quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including B44:2019 elevator code.
  • Hands-on experience operating calipers, squares and other necessary tools to perform inspections.
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately for decision-making purposes.
  • Experience conducting or supporting quality audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.   • Ability to read and interpret engineering CAD drawings.
