As the **People Support Specialist**, you’ll be performing the following duties:
- Support the People Support Manager on Human Resources related items
- Responsible for preparing the paperwork for new hires, status changes, and employee departures; conducts termination meetings and exit interviews as required.
- Providing front-line support for employee relation issues, conducts investigations as required.
- Responding to requests from employees and/or leaders regarding the interpretation of established Human Resources policies. Identifies and escalates unusual requests or employee relations challenges to the People Support Manager.
- Providing administrative support to HR team members as required: includes scanning and saving documents; filing; completing and copying forms.
- Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist with full-cycle recruitment efforts for all positions, when necessary.
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on recruitment initiatives, specifically the TIP Mechanics Academy.
- Responsible to coordinate and support the team and the Mechanic Development Manager with the TIP Academy initiative.
- Support with recruitment of Mechanic Trainees.
- Being the first Point of Contact for the trainee mechanic.
To be successful you’ll need to have the following skills and abilities:
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources with a minimum of 4 year’s work experience.
- An excellent communicator and problem solver
- Energetic and results-driven.
- Advanced Excel skills with Intermediate PowerPoint and MS Word skills
- Experience with Workday would be an asset
- Self-motivated with a high degree of organizational and planning skills
- Ability to manage a high level of workload
