**Location and Hours**: Edmonton head office-Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with a 1-hour lunch (30 minutes paid and 30 minutes unpaid) with required flexibility to respond to the needs of the business which could include early
mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**What your day to day will look like**:
You will be reporting into**the Vice President of Procurement. You will have 4 direct reports.
**Leadership and Supervision**:
- Follow and lead all company values and mission statements.
- Provide day-to-day oversight and management to the purchasing team.
- Communicate with the purchasing team to resolve performance and personnel issues, and to discuss
- and implement company policies and procedure
- Address escalations or concerns within the purchasing department.
**Department Management and Innovation**
- In conjunction with the Vice President, develop, refresh, and maintain all purchasing programs and procedures.
- Consistently evaluate current processes, recommend and implement improvements.
- Coordinate purchasing projects and provide status reports to management.
- Ensure consistent use of purchasing processes by the procurement group.
- Provide support to the Vice President with coverage as required.
**Purchasing**
- Monitor supply chain factors and coordinate alternate plans for shortages, overages, or delays to reduce organizational impact.
- Manage purchase orders and inventory flow for cost-effective use.
- Source and buy non-stock items as needed.
- Answer questions about purchase and back-order status for current and future projects.
**What you'll need to succeed**:
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in procurement and/or inventory management
- Supervisory or managerial background is considered an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Post-secondary education or related experience in purchasing or supply chain preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for working with all levels within the organization and third-party vendors.
- Proficiency in computer software, including company platforms and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel,
and Word)
- Ability to develop and improve processes

- 20 minute preliminary phone interview with our Recruiter
- 20-40 minute assessment (depending on optional practice questions or breaks)
- 30 minute MS Teams video interview with the Hiring Manager and direct Supervisor for the role
